The success of your startup relies on adhering to these Dragon tips!
- Don't move your company more than 30 miles from its original location because there's a chance you will lose some key employees due to unreasonable commute
- Hire smart experienced people who have actually worked within your targeted industry before. Preferably, more than 2 years...
- Lease an office that has atleast a conference room for meetings and interviews
- Focus on making $$$
- Race to deliver your products/services
- Offer some perks like free food/water/soda's.
- Build team chemistry
- Make sure your ceo and/or president isn't on crack
- Make sure your ceo isn't a serial womenizer
- Make sure your tech lead isn't a freaking moron
- Provide recreational means such as a ping pong table and/or basketball court
- Lastly, The don't(s)
- Don't hire lazy people because they will kill morale
- Don't hire bartenders and import models unless you're starting a
social networking company that caters to them. Obviously, these people
will show up to work drunk and/or high. Again killing morale amongst
hardworking peers.
- Don't hire people who can only do the 9-5 thing
- Don't hire six sigma idiots
- Don't hire ideators
- Don't hire people who work in the party promotion business
- Don't hire people who live more than 30 minutes away. Example, if your office is in san francisco and your employees live in places like san jose or napa valley. They're full of crap if they say they can handle this type of long commute.
